DescriptionCome work with us & world-class researchers! The Stanford Research Computing Center (SRCC) seeks passionate, curious applicants for a new Research Data Facilitator position. In this role, you will work with faculty and their research teams to ensure the successful integration of computing & data technologies into their research activities. Work will especially focus on facilitating data acquisition, analysis, and computational projects, with a primary goal of helping researchers be productive sooner as they navigate the complex technology environment. This is a researcher-facing role. Core responsibilities include Researcher Engagement, Solutions Development, Documentation & Training for research teams, and Collaboration.
RequirementsMinimum requirements: An advanced degree plus seven years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience..
Knowledge of key data structures, algorithms and techniques relevant to systems that support high volume or variety research datasets (including data mining, common data formats, NLP, data retrieval).
Experience with relational, NoSQL or other databases both traditional and cloud-based (for example, BigQuery).
Knowledge of general research-related regulatory standards as they may apply to research data management
Experience deploying, supporting and analyzing large-scale research datasets on scalable platforms.
Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communications.
Advanced level knowledge of data provisioning and analysis.
This position is considered hybrid, with at least 2 days a week on-site at Stanford.
