DescriptionThe high-performance graph analytics research group (https://hipgraph.luddy.indiana.edu/) at Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering at Indiana University has two open postdoctoral positions on high-performance graph analysis, sparse matrix and graph machine learning algorithms.

The postdocs will work with Prof. Ariful Azad on various areas of high-performance computing (shared-memory and distributed-memory systems), new graph machine learning methods, sparse matrix algorithms and libraries, and applications of graph analysis in computational biology, earth sciences, and energy sciences. See our lab website for existing projects and published papers: https://hipgraph.luddy.indiana.edu/. Our research group consists of seven PhD students, seven MS students, and several undergraduate students.

One of the postdocs will be part of Sparsitute: A Mathematical Institute for Sparse Computations in Science and Engineering. Sparsitute is supported for 5 years by the Department of Energy as a Mathematical Multifaceted Integrated Capability Center (MMICC). Sparsitute is a collaboration between LBNL, ORNL, Purdue University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Indiana University, and Wake Forest University. The other postdoc will be part of an IARPA AGILE project led by Indiana University. In the latter project, we will develop the next-generation active-memory architecture and associated software infrastructure for analyzing massive graphs.
RequirementsSuggested Requirements: - A Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, data science, and related fields - Expertise in C, C++, and/or Python languages - Strong knowledge in parallel programming (shared and/or distributed memory systems) - A good knowledge in computer architectures - A solid background in linear algebra and algorithms is recommended.
