Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Enterprise Support group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a SharePoint and Power Apps Developer! This team works a remote 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Responsibilities Include:
Information Management (IM) Modern Workplace team provides among other services support for Citizen Creators (Creators) to develop successful digital solutions using no-code/low-code platforms from Microsoft including SharePoint (both on-premises and cloud), Power Apps and Power Automate.
This position performs as a developer, innovator, and technology advocate (Developer) using SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate and other related technologies. Developer is responsible for working with internal lab customers (Customer(s)) to meet their requirements to deliver solutions within the defined technology stack, to work with other IM partners to define and execute integrated solutions, to understand the capabilities of other IM partners and refer customers to other solution space when necessary.
Developer responsibilities include gaining and maintaining the skills necessary to do the job, including SharePoint, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and other related technologies. Developer is responsible to gain and maintain a basic understanding of INL Information Technology infrastructure, cyber security, data classification, release control, and other related policies and procedures. Developer is responsible to gain and maintain an understanding of standards and expectations provided by Enterprise Architecture and system owners. Developer is responsible to contribute to development and maintenance of documentation, standards, training materials and other artifacts within the technology stacks they participate in.
Responsibilities Include:
Provide guidance and share standard methodologies regarding SPFx development.
Create new SPFx web part components for SharePoint that will be part of a central library for Creators to use within their SharePoint sites.
Develop Power Apps canvas and model driven applications.
Develop Power Apps list-based applications.
Develop Power Automate flows triggered by events in SharePoint Online or from Power Apps.
In all work, consider mobile consumption as a first-class concern, using standard methodologies within SharePoint, Power Platform, and related communities.
Use multiple OOTB Connectors within the Power Platform.
Address and remediate security vulnerability findings within supported solutions
Work with Creators when there are functional issues and debugging their apps/flows/reports.
Assists in the training of Creators, focusing on being successful on the no-code/low-code platforms within the Lab, including the creation of online training videos as well as in person training sessions.
Support production releases of solutions during off-peak hours.
SharePoint SPFx and site customization development for standard web parts and customer specific requests.
Develop canvas and model driven Power Apps using list-based applications and power automate floes.
Create and provide online and in person citizen creator training.

RequirementsBaccalaureate & 2 years experience or 10 years equivalent work experience.
Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
Experience with on-premise SharePoint including at least one of the following: (Subscription Edition, 2019, 2016), SharePoint Online, and related M365 workloads and must have experience with the Microsoft Power Platform to automate business processes and design custom solutions for clients.
Experience working with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and related technologies – Node.js, TypeScript, ReactJS, Yeoman, webpack, and Gulp;
SharePoint development experience including designer and custom workflows, custom web parts, search, navigation, and branding & customization.
Experience using IDE's such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code;
Familiar with SharePoint Client-Side Object Model;
Understanding of best-practice implementation, administration, and working within a well-governed collaboration environment
Skilled in HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, etc
• Ability to work effectively independently as well as within a team environment.
