Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Program Management group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a IT Problem Management! This team works a remote 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off.
Identify and manage incidents that are caused the underlying IT problems for the INL Information Management (IM) enterprise
Identify, prioritize and assign responsibility for problems and manage them through the entire Problem Management process to resolution.
Create and manage the knowledge based articles to maintain information about known errors and workarounds for the IT Service Desk and self-service portals.
Analyze incident trends, identify repeat incidents and determine where the Problem Management process will result in the greatest benefit to the organization.
Understand the organizational skills to determine which domain experts should be engaged in problem root cause.
Coordinate all aspects of diagnosis and resolution.
Maintain the problem queue along with updates to inform the impacted partners.
Function as key member of any response to a major incident facilitating data collection and analysis leading to a long-term fix.
Assemble a big-picture perspective, gathering data from different sources, interpreting meaning, projecting possible outcomes, assessing impact, evaluating alternatives, managing a portfolio and recommending priorities for problem resolution.
Work closely with the Incident Management team and Change Management teams to analyze and find permanent fixes for problems.

Requirements• 5 years relevant experience, MS and 3 years relevant experience, PhD and 2 years relevant experience, or 13 years relevant experience.
Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to:
Root cause analysis experience
Creating knowledge base articles
Analyzing incident trends
Facilitating data collection and analysis
Applicants are subject to the requirements of DOE O 142.3B, Unclassified Foreign National Access Program.
Preferred Requirements:
Degrees completed in computer science, business, or IT related field.
Experience and Certification in ITIL 4
Problem Management Certification.
