SC Welcomes You

Room D164

Each SC Conference brings together HPC professionals and students of all nationalities, ethnicities, genders, and technical levels with the goal of sparking new conversations, new connections, and new ideas.

Making all attendees feel welcome is important to SC. Through the programs and services that we provide for attendees and our efforts to educate the HPC community on the benefits of a diverse workforce, we all make progress toward the goal of improved science and research.

The SC Steering Committee, along with a dedicated Inclusivity Committee for each conference year, evaluates each conference, identifying opportunities to improve the attendee experience, particularly for members of underrepresented groups.

Our Commitment to You

The SC Conference Series has made an ongoing commitment to address inclusivity and diversity at the conference and within the HPC community. Our goal is to broaden participation from all constituents of the community and provide a more inclusive experience for everyone.

To aid in this effort, we recognize the importance of publishing our demographic information in order to help track our progress in a transparent and collaborative way, and to encourage other organizations to do the same. By working together with other leading HPC organizations around the world to publicly document today’s workforce demographics, the HPC, networking, storage, and analysis community can begin to understand what steps are necessary to move toward a more diverse and inclusive working environment.

These contributions will be instrumental in developing a more diverse group of attendees, presenters, authors, and exhibitors in the years to come.

Information for Families

Family and work are intertwined components of life, and sharing our professional pursuits and passions with our children is an invaluable way of sowing inspiration in the minds of the next generation. We believe that enabling individuals with families to more easily attend the SC Conference will result in a positive outcome for everyone.

We are committed to making the conference as family-friendly as possible, while maintaining the high-quality experience attendees have always enjoyed and ensuring the safety of all participants.

In order to provide clarity on where and when children may participate, the SC Conference has established a policy on children’s presence at conference events.
