Irene Moulitsas
Biography
Irene Moulitsas is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Scientific Computing at Cranfield University in the UK, where she is currently the Course Director for the MSc program in Computational and Software Techniques in Engineering. Irene received her PhD in Scientific Computation from the University of Minnesota in the USA and BSc in Computational Mathematics from the University of Crete in Greece. Before joining Cranfield University, she was a Marie Curie research fellow at the University of Cyprus and adjunct faculty at the Cyprus University of Technology. Irene’s research focuses on novel algorithms and implementations for efficient large scientific computations on parallel platforms. In 2021 Irene was selected as a finalist for the Top 50 Women in Engineering in the UK award.
