Josh Milthorpe is a Computer Scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory Future Technologies Group and an Honorary Lecturer at the Australian National University School of Computing. His mission is to develop the tools and techniques that computational scientists use to understand the world. He is particularly interested in programming models for high-performance computation for physical simulation. He also contributes to related efforts in performance portability, resilience, and numerical computing. He spends a lot of time working on the Chapel parallel programming language.
