Biography
Eric Stahlberg is director of Cancer Data Science Initiatives at Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research in the Cancer Research Technology Program. Working closely with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT), Dr. Stahlberg spearheads collaborative efforts between the National Cancer Institute and the US Department of Energy and broader community efforts including Accelerating Therapeutics for Opportunities in Medicine (ATOM). He continues to champion efforts to advance AI applications for cancer and develop breakthrough approaches to challenging problems in areas such as biomedical digital twins. Prior to joining Frederick National Laboratory, he has worked in industry advancing applications of HPC technologies, and in academia advancing accelerated computing, applications in bioinformatics, developing the future workforce in health information, and directing an innovative undergraduate computational science program.
