Biography
Tom Vierjahn is a professor of computer science at the Westphalian University of Applied Sciences, Germany. His research interests include visualization, computer graphics, and virtual reality. Tom received his Diploma and Masters degree from Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and his PhD from the University of Münster, Germany. During his PhD, Tom worked on surface reconstruction using neural networks. After that, he was working as a post doc with the virtual reality and Immersive Visualization Group of RWTH Aachen University. There, he worked on performance visualization and in situ visualization.
