Osman Unsal
Biography
Osman Unsal got the B.S., M.S. and PhD degrees from Istanbul Technical University, Brown University and University of Massachusetts, Amherst; respectively. After working for Intel Microprocessor Technology Labs, he has been with Barcelona Supercomputing Center since 2006. He is co-leading the Computer Architecture for Parallel Paradigms research group at BSC. He has 12 patents and more than 300 peer reviewed publications. His research interests include computer architecture, reliability, programming models, approximate computing and novel devices. In the past, he conducted research in approximation techniques in iterative HPC applications, arbitrary narrow bit-width operations, and interaction of undervolting with approximate computing.
