LeAnn M. Lindsey is a third-year doctoral student in Computer Science at the University of Utah. She holds a master’s degree in Scientific Computing from NYU and a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from MIT. While at NYU, LeAnn studied the role of long non-coding RNA expression in breast invasive carcinoma. She is interested in accelerating computational biology algorithms, with the ultimate goal of identifying and characterizing genes in the human body that cause disease. LeAnn is also the mother of six children and enjoys hiking in the mountains in Utah.
