Darren J. Hsu

Biography
Darren Hsu is a postdoctoral researcher in National Center for Computational Sciences at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has a B.Sc. in Chemistry from National Taiwan University, and received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Northwestern University with research work on X-ray scattering-driven molecular dynamics for protein disordered states. At ORNL, his research focuses on deciphering binding poses of ligands through a variety of methods, including classical molecular simulations of induced-fit effects, simultaneous prediction of protein-ligand structures from sequences with deep learning models, and X-ray scattering-based density retrieval algorithms.
