Sudharshan Vazhkudai

Biography
Dr. Sudharshan Vazhkudai is the Director of System Architecture and Workload Analytics at Micron Technology, where he leads a global team to understand the composability of memory/storage product hierarchy for data center workloads and optimize system architectures therein. Prior to this, he worked for two decades in the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) national lab system, working on supercomputing as a Director, Group Leader and a Distinguished Scientist. He was the Director of the Scalable Data Infrastructure for Science program at Oak Ridge National Lab. As a Distinguished Scientist and a Group Leader, he contributed to the co-design and deployment of the Summit 200 petaflop and Frontier exascale systems and associated solutions. During this process, he built solutions in several areas such as storage systems, data management and system architecture, publishing over 100 peer-reviewed papers.
