Saliya Ekanayake
Biography
Saliya Ekanayake is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft. Previously he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Performance and Algorithms Research (PAR) group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His research was on improving the performance of large scale deep learning systems and graph analytics. Prior to joining the Berkeley Lab, Saliya was a postdoctoral researcher in the Network Dynamics and Simulation Science Laboratory (NDSSL) at Virginia Tech, where he researched on developing parallel algorithms to perform efficient subgraph detection. Saliya's Ph.D. work includes a systematic study of performance in machine learning algorithms.
