Jakob Luettgau
Biography
Jakob Luettgau is a Post-doctoral Research Associate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, at the Global Computing Laboratory directed by Dr. Michela Taufer. He earned his PhD in Computer Science in from the University of Hamburg (Germany). Before joining UTK he worked with the The Centre of Excellence in Simulation of Weather and Climate in Europe (ESiWACE) at the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ), visited Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) as a Short-Term Scholar, and worked as an AI consultant for Helmholtz AI/DKRZ advising researchers in the earth sciences throughout Germany.
His research interests include high-performance storage, workflows leveraging hierarchical storage systems, machine learning and performance engineering, and instrumentation of parallel applications.
