Ludger is a fifth-year PhD candidate at TU Munich interested in enabling new applications in fluid dynamics through LLVM compiler-enabled learning, automatic differentiation with Enzyme and melding traditional simulations with machine learning methods. He has co-organized the Differentiable Programming workshop at NeurIPS 2021, co-organized the "Differentiable & Machine Learning Infused Simulations in Fluid Dynamics" session at the APS March Meeting 2022, and co-organized the "Quantification of Uncertainties in Computational Fluid Dynamics" at SIAM UQ22.
