Biography
Christopher Zimmer is an HPC Systems Engineer/Senior Researcher in the National Center for Computational Science. His research interests primarily focus on systems architecture and high-performance networks for HPC systems. Christopher served as the technical project officer for non-recurring engineering on the Frontier project and has been heavily involved in the acceptance (benchmarking) for both Summit and Frontier. He joined ORNL in 2014, lured away from corporate America for the opportunity to work on the most powerful supercomputers in the world. He received his Ph.D. from North Carolina State University.
