Ahmad Abdelfattah Ahmad received his PhD in computer science from King Abdullah University of
Science and Technology (KAUST) in 2015, where he was a member of the Extreme Computing
Research Center (ECRC). He is currently a research scientist in the Innovative Computing
Laboratory at the University of Tennessee. He works on optimization of several numerical methods on heterogeneous architectures. Ahmad has B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering from Ain Shams University, Egypt.
