
Biography
Michael Ringenburg is a Principal Software Engineering Lead in the Azure Hardware Architecture group at Microsoft. Previously he was an ML Solution Architect at Cerebras Systems, a Distinguished Technologist in the HPC & AI group at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and a Senior Principal Engineer in the AI & Advanced Productivity group at Cray. He has a keen interest in applications of AI to scientific computing, and on making HPC systems easier to use. Michael studied computer science at the University of Washington, where he received his PhD in 2014. Prior to that, Michael worked on compilers for the Cray XMT system.
