Mark Gray has a background in research, research software development, high performance computing and data management. In his current role as the Head of Scientific Platforms at Pawsey he manages supercomputing, cloud, storage and network systems; providing services to the Australian research community including current operating radio telescope instruments in Western Australia.

Mark’s prior work includes data systems and scientific devops roles at Pawsey and national earth science infrastructure projects, AusCover and the Integrated Marine Observing system and the NASA Earth Observing System at Goddard Space Flight Center.
