Shintaro Momose

Biography
Shintaro Momose is a director at quantum computing business department, Advanced platform division, NEC Coperation, and a visiting associate professor of Cyber Science Center at Tohoku University, Japan. His responsibilities at NEC are planning quantum computing business strategies and developing vector annealer, which is a simulated annealer, working on NEC's supercomputer, SX-Aurora TSUBASA. He started his work at NEC Corporation from 2005, and he developed the SX supercomputer series, SX-9, SX-ACE, and SX-Aurora TSUBASA. From 2021, he has joined the quantum computing team to start quantum computing business. To combine HPC technologies and quantum computing technologies is one of his research theme. He received the B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and the M.S. and the Ph.D. Degrees in Information Sciences from Tohoku University in 1999, 2003, and 2005 respectively.
