Dr. Andreas Herten is the team leader of the Accelerating Devices Lab at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC). In the lab and in a long-running collaboration with NVIDIA ("NVIDIA Application Lab at Jülich"), he analyses, ports, and optimizes scientific applications for GPUs. Before joining JSC, he did his PhD in experimental particle physics, working on enabling real-time data suppression mechanisms on GPUs for the next generation of particle physics experiments.
