Biography
Kazem Cheshmi is an assistant professor in ECE at McMaster University. He received his PhD from the University of Toronto and works on compiler design and parallel algorithms for scientific computing and machine learning. Before joining the University of Toronto, he was a researcher at Microsoft Research, Adobe Research, and Rutgers University. He is a recipient of the ACM-IEEE CS George Michael Memorial HPC Fellowship, the grand final award of the 2017 ACM Student Research Competitions, the Wolfund fellowship 2019, and the Adobe fellowship 2018.
