Biography
Dr. Joubert is a computational scientist in the Scientific Engagement Section of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility. He received his B.Sc. degree in mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and his Ph.D. degree in mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. He specializes in the development and optimization of mathematical algorithms and software for leadership-class computing systems. He was awarded an R&D 100 Award in 1997 as member of the Falcon reservoir simulator team and a Gordon Bell Prize in 2018 as member of the CoMet computational genomics team.
