Biography
Dr Ralph Burton works in the Atmospheric Physics directorate of the National Centre for Atmospheric Science (NCAS), having previously worked in the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS). He has worked on a number of different projects and has undertaken Fieldwork in Arran (UK), the Falkland Islands, West Africa, Eastern Alps (Switzerland), Sierra Nevada (U.S.A.), South Georgia, and Iceland. He has a wide range of research interests ranging from the meteorology of West Africa to the effect of wind farms upon local climate and numerical modeling of volcanic plumes.
