DescriptionWith over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a summer intern to assist the team in one or multiple of the following tasks, predominantly in a laboratory or clean room environment:

Assembly, alignment and performance testing of a high precision optical beam delivery system, consisting of motion stages, electronic control equipment, fiber optics, precision optics, alignment tooling and precision mechanics.
Commissioning and fine alignment of an advanced optical test bench consisting of a vacuum chamber, vacuum control equipment, PLC (programmable logic control), laser beam delivery system, nano-motion stage, CCD based optical detection system and LabView control
Development of work instructions and procedures to systematically generate product qualification data from the above measurement test bench.
RequirementsPreferred Qualifications: Students working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Level Degree in Optical Sciences, Engineering or related field. Minimum Qualifications Some college
