DescriptionThe Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. Responsibilities
- Manage a group of highly skilled and multi-disciplinary electrical engineers with domain knowledges of mixed signal circuits, FPGA, cameras, imaging acquisitions, motion controls, power supplies, sub-systems, etc..
- Project, resource, priority and escalation management
- Drive executions of development roadmap
- Work collaboratively with peers and other cross-functional team members including define sub-system design requirement specifications and design architectures
- Manage multi-disciplinary electrical design projects with hands-on contributions from scoping, requirements, budget/resource planning, gap analysis, risk management, design implementation, validation and release through engineering product design life cycles
- Manage design reviews and phase exits
- Manage value-added third party vendors, services and contractors/consultants to deliver turn-key design solutions
- Provide project status updates to upper management and stakeholder committees
- Conduct training, coaching and development plans for direct reports
- Communicate and work effectively with a global engineering team

Requirements- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and systems engineering for development, sustaining and continuous improvement
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of complexed electrical, electronics, board level and sub-system design principles with proven good track record
- Desired experience in any of following area - mixed signal board level design, FPGA/CPLD, image acquisitions, camera systems, motion controls, etc.
- Must be a team player and have strong leadership, critical thinking, drive to executions, effective communications and problem-solving skills including good presentation skills
- Experience as hardware or software development team leader is a plus
- Experience in semi-conductor capital equipment development is a plus
- Previous engineering functional and people management role (hardware or software) is a plus
- Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 3 years, Master's Level Degree or work experience of 4 years, Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 5 years
