DescriptionYour Role and Responsibilities:

• Optimize and improve applications for LRZ’s current and upcoming leadership-class HPC sys-tems.
• Participate in application development and porting for prospective Exascale systems with ac-celerated node architectures.
• Keep in touch with our power users and the astrophysical community and help them to track and solve their HPC problems.
• Maintain the software stack of domain specific applications and provide user support.
• Organize and promote trainings, courses and scientific outreach activities.
RequirementsYour Qualifications: • PhD or university (post) graduate degree, diploma, master’s degree or equivalent in a compu-ting related scientific domain: quantum chemistry, physics, engineering, computational sci-ences, mathematics, ... • Experience with HPC applications in at least one scientific computing domain • Programming skills/experience are desired in - High-level language: C, C++, or Fortran -Scripting language: Python, Julia, bash, … - Parallel programming: MPI, OpenMP - Accelerator programming: CUDA, OpenACC, DPC++, OpenMP • Knowledge of HPC environments and system software, performance analy-sis, performance libraries and tools • Good oral presentation and writing skills in German or English • Communicate with customers and colleagues skills and capacity for teamwork • You like communication and work with customers and colleagues to excel as a team
