Exhibitor Description
The Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ) proudly stands at the forefront of its field as a world-class IT service and computing user facility serving Munich’s top universities as well as research institutions in Bavaria, Germany and Europe. Home to SuperMUC-NG, LRZ is part of Germany’s Gauss Centre for Supercomputing (GCS) and serves as part of the nation’s backbone for the advanced research and discovery possible through high-performance computing (HPC). At SC22, the spotlight is on LRZ’s quantum computing activities themed “Quantum Computing – Accelerating the Future of Supercomputing”. The on-site booth will feature renowned partners and initiatives. LRZ’s partnering organization Munich Quantum Valley (MQV) will inform about the Bavarian quantum ecosystem and how it drives the development of quantum science and quantum technologies. The project “Quantum Computing demonstration for ExaScale-HPC“ or Q-Exa for short, is being presented by consortium lead and one of LRZ’s technology partners IQM Quantum Computers.
