 s on the edge and fog systems desire mobility owing to the user or data mo
 bility, and the necessity of relocating to the cloud upon the oversubscrip
 tion. More specifically, live migration of containerized microservices is 
 required for service mobility, elasticity, and load balancing purposes. Al
 though container runtimes and orchestrators recently provided native live 
 migration support, they do not allow migration across autonomous computing
  systems with heterogeneous orchestrators. Our hypothesis is that non-nati
 ve and non-invasive support for the live container migration is the need o
 f hour and can unlock several new use cases. We develop a non-native and n
 on-invasive live container migration method leveraging the nested containe
 r runtime. We design the architecture and develop the solution to enable c
 ontainer migration across heterogeneous orchestrators. We evaluate the per
 formance against other approaches. We observe that for microservices small
 er than 512 MiB, the nested container runtime approach can be implemented
