Frank Winkler
Biography
Frank Winkler's work primarily focuses on performance analysis of HPC applications.
After successfully completing a "Master of Science" degree in Computer Science in 2009, he worked as a research assistant at TU Dresden.
During his work, he gained expertise in the performance analysis of parallel applications by collaborating on many HPC projects.
From 2013 to 2017, he worked as an on-site contractor for the performance tool Vampir at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he helped users analyze and optimize their parallel codes.
He then returned to TU Dresden and has since worked in the area of continuous performance monitoring. He also served as a consultant for the performance tool PAPI at the Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL) at the University of Tennessee from 2017-2021.
